Residents who are evacuated from Jasper city and p Residents who are evacuated from Jasper city and parks may be coming through BC get to Grande Prairie Alberta. These evacuees would travel West to Prince George, then proceed North to Dawson Creek via highway 97, and east to Grande Prairie. The Grade Prairie Reception Centre is located at Bonnets Energy Centre, 10017 99 Ave, Grande Prairie, A.B., and will open at 9:00am on Tuesday, July 23.

Residents from Fort Nelson can stay in BC Provinci Residents from Fort Nelson can stay in BC Provincial Parks we manage for free in First Come First Serve campsites while they are being evacuated from their town. The Fort St John Reception Center at the North Peace Arena at 9805 96th Ave is where residents will need to go to obtain required evacuation documentation. Charlie Lake and Beatton Provincial Campgrounds are nearest to Fort St John. #fortnelson

Here is an instructional video about how to reserv Here is an instructional video about how to reserve campsites we manage in Northern BC including: Swan Lake Moberly Lake Gwillim Lake Charlie Lake Beatton Be sure to book your campsites in advance for the 2024 camping season. Campsites can be booked in a 4 month rolling window from the days current date. This means that if you can not book something that is later than 4 months in the future from the current days date. If you have any issues placing reservations, contact the BC Parks Reservations team on their website contact page or by calling +1-800-689-9025.

Swan lake isn't frozen yet, but once it is you can Swan lake isn't frozen yet, but once it is you can expect to see ice fishing happening on the lake this winter. The boat launch at swan lake will be usable all next season since as we can now safely say that the renovations on it are finished. We will be sure to include that information in future posts at the start of next season so more people can be notified.
Our Provincial Campgrounds are closed for the 2023 Our Provincial Campgrounds are closed for the 2023 season. This includes: Charlie Lake Beatton Moberly Lake Gwillim Lake Swan Lake Kiskatinaw You can still park outside the gates and walk into the campgrounds. Just be sure to not block the gates access with your vehicles, and to pack out what you take in. The access to the Boat Launches at Beatton and Gwillim will remain open until the snow flies. Swan Lake boat launch is still closed until repairs are finished. See the BC Parks website in the New year for specified 2024 dates of operation. Campgrounds open again in May.
You are allowed to do Category 1 open burning camp You are allowed to do Category 1 open burning campfires as of Friday August 11th in the Prince George Fire District which affects our campgrounds. Wood burning campfires will need to be kept to the confines of our fire rings and not exceed 0.5 meters in height. Firewood will be available for sale in our campgrounds at $10/bundle.
